On the flights I work as a flight attendant I find that many parents do not realize most airlines have a policy when it comes to using electronics with sound (iPods, DVD players, etc.). You must use headsets or turn the volume off. Although it might seem like the noise from the plane is louder than the sound of your movie, the sound from your movie surprisingly travels through the sound of the aircraft.
