A New Era

Posted by on January 18, 2013

In airline news this week bankrupt American Airlines revealed their new logo and paint job, striving for a new look signifying a new era. I am partial to their vintage look and will miss the eagle (although the logo is meant to be an eagle’s beak and wings). Here’s the airline’s new look:

AA new look

Kids don’t care what airplanes and logos look like, but if we showed them photos and asked, I’m betting they would prefer this paint job:

Here’s a photo of “Cloud Surfer” Ella pretending to be surfing on the the airplane in the background:

It’s hard to imagine that this airplane and this look will be only a memory when Ella is grown. I hope the airline succeeds and emerges from bankruptcy to once again be the respected air carrier it used to be.

What do you think of the new logo and paint job? Which airline’s planes have the design you like best?
