We haven’t had a chance to fly anywhere since April and Ella has cabin fever! Today we were driving and she was feeling extra grouchy. She said, “Your job is to drive me to the airport! I’m going to San Diego all by myself!” (She’s four…where did she get the idea she could fly alone?) Needless to say, we didn’t go to the airport today. But we did find a fun adventure. We stopped by Reef Shack while we were out. What a fun adventure! It’s a just a small store, but has great Reptiles and Saltwater Fish as well as some beautiful Coral! The employee was so nice to Ella and let her “hold” this Bearded Dragon!
This story is just to remind you that even when you can’t fly away, you can still have great adventures. When you’re visiting a new area it’s great to see the tourist sites and that’s usually enough to keep you occupied. But through the summer months, don’t overlook the local (and free!) “area attractions” that can be as simple as a pet store. Just don’t give in to requests to buy a dozen mice as pets. Haha…
