When flying with infant I prefer to pack a diaper bag as well as a carry on backpack. I feel like I can keep things better organized and more quickly accessible in the diaper bag. Then I pack the back up and emergency items in the backpack. Here is what I am packing in my backpack for my flight with John tomorrow:
- thin baby blanket
- BabyLegs (versatile leg/arm warmers)
- spare diaper wipes
- Teething medicine
- Exergen Temporal Scanner Thermometer
- cozy socks
- spare diapers (Pack enough for 48 hours between this bag and diaper bag. I’m packing 14 diapers.)
- Kleenex
- ponytail holder
- spare small can of formula
- spare bottle
- change of clothes (baby)
- change of clothes (me)
- Quart sized Ziploc bag of liquids (contact solution, lotion, medicines, toothpaste)
- prescription medicine
- spare battery charger
- medicine (for me here it’s allergy medicine and emergency meds like Tums and chewable Pepto
- Hand Sanitizing Wipes
- Spare tote bag
- Glasses
- Passport
- Sweater (for me)
- Galaxy Tablet
- Snacks (my snack this trip are: Luna Bar, Planters NUT-rition bar, Cashews, Mint M&Ms, Fruit Leather, Lollipops, Tea, Starbucks VIA, Special K Protein Water Mix
- (not pictured) Phone and Tablet Chargers
- Spare bottle
**At the airport I will buy 2 large bottles of water and will add these to the backpack.
My diaper bag will have all of the items I pack on a daily basis including a change of clothes, toys, diapers wipes and bottles as well as my wallet and lipstick. I wrote a post on packing the diaper bag and you can find it here.
If Ella were traveling with us also I would add a change of clothes for her and her toy bag. Recently I have been putting her toys in a gallon sized Ziploc Bag and then carrying it in the backpack. Would you add anything when for a flying with infant carry-on bag?
